Schaumburg, IL - May 28, 2019 - SmartWitness,a leading provider of camera solutions, today announced the availability of its fully integrated HD video telematics solution, GoCam, on the Geotab Marketplace
GoCam enables clients to monitor driver behavior in real-time, collecting video data for greater visibility to help improve safety and also provides irrefutable evidence to mitigate insurance claims. SmartWitness devices allow for viewing up to four camera channel inputs in the GoCam add-on. While road and driver facing camera views are most common, SmartWitness can include additional views of the side, rear and cargo areas of a vehicle.
The recorded data can legally protect fleet managers and drivers if they are involved in a safety-critical event (e.g. collisions) that result in an insurance claim or dispute. The GoCam add-on, when used in conjunction with SmartWitness devices, acts as an undeniable witness, helping to provide concrete evidence that allows fleet managers to prevent and combat cash-for-crash claims while also expediting insurance processes and reducing costs.

Integrating seamlessly with Geotab’s award-winning fleet management solution, SmartWitness devices are easy to install with return on investment almost always seen within the first 12 months, but often as early as 6 months. The GoCam add-on allows Geotab users to effortlessly transition from location tracking, to ELD reports, to reviewing incident video, all within the their MyGeotab platform. GoCam is also integrated with the Geotab rules engine so users can easily correlate a Geotab-identified event with a video upload, such as a geo-fence breach or a speeding event.
